Red Sox Sign Two Additional Players Selected in 2017 Draft

The Boston Red Sox have signed two additional players selected in the 2017 June Draft: first baseman Zach Sterry (8th round) and right-handed pitcher Lukas Young (21st round).

The Boston Red Sox have signed two additional players selected in the 2017 June Draft: first baseman Zach Sterry (8th round) and right-handed pitcher Lukas Young (21st round).
Vice President of Amateur Scouting Mike Rikard made the announcement.
Young will report to short-season Single-A Lowell. Sterry, who is recovering from a broken right hand, will report to Fort Myers, FL as part of a rehab assignment.
In all, four of the 40 players selected by Boston in the 2017 June Draft have been signed to contracts.
