Rutledge undergoes left knee surgery

Red Sox infielder underwent a successful left knee patella tendon debridement and repair on Monday, and he is expected to be ready for next Spring Training.
The surgery was performed by Red Sox head team orthopedist Dr. Peter Asnis at Massachusetts General Hospital.
Rutledge, 27, has been sidelined since mid-June with left knee tendinitis. He was hitting .265/.345/.388 in 28 games for Boston.
