Reds have top 18 Draft picks locked up

NEW YORK -- The deadline to sign selections from the 2014 First-Year Player Draft was 5 p.m. ET on Friday. The Reds -- who already signed 27 of their 41 picks, including first-rounders Nick Howard and Alex Blandino -- made no last-minute additions and had all of their first 18 selections in the fold.

"It always feels good to have everybody signed, another good job by the staff," Reds amateur scouting director Chris Buckley said.

Howard, who agreed to terms on a $1,990,500 bonus on June 30, was assigned on Friday to Class A Dayton.
