Final game before season opener won't be rescheduled

March 27th, 2018

ARLINGTON -- Tuesday's exhibition game between the Reds and Rangers at Globe Life Park was canceled due to rain and thunderstorms passing through north Texas.
The game will not be rescheduled. Fans holding tickets to the game may exchange them for any 2018 Rangers home game, subject to availability with the exception of Thursday's regular-season opener against the Astros.

The Rangers open the regular season on Thursday against the defending World Series-champion Astros at Globe Life Park. The Rangers' 47th opener in Arlington is scheduled to begin at 2:40 p.m. CT with left-hander Cole Hamels starting opposite Houston right-hander .
The Reds open their season at home at 4:10 p.m. ET against the Nationals, also on Thursday. The scheduled starters are right-hander Homer Bailey for the Reds and right-hander Max Scherzer, the National League Cy Young Award winner the past two seasons, for the Nationals.
