Boesch scratched with sore ankle

Outfielder fouled ball off foot in Saturday's loss to D-backs

CINCINNATI -- Reds outfielder Brennan Boesch was a late scratch from Sunday's 4-0 loss to the D-backs with a sore right ankle.

Boesch fouled a ball off of his foot during Saturday night's 11-7 loss to the D-backs. He had an ice pack on the ankle after the game.

Ryan LaMarre, who made his big league debut on Saturday, started in center field on Sunday and batted eighth. Jason Bourgeois started in left field and batted leadoff and Skip Schumaker started in right and batted seventh.

LaMarre collected his first Major League hit in the Reds' ninth straight loss.
