The Cleveland Indians today announced that registration for Indians Youth Baseball Summer Camps is now open. Each camp is five days long and runs 9AM-3PM and is offered for kids ages 6-14.
The camp schedule includes:
All campers will receive an Indians jersey and hat, Indians drawstring backpack, workbook, Indians Diamond Dictionary poster and a voucher for two tickets to see the Indians play on Indians Youth Baseball Camp Reunion night (August 21, 2016).
Progressive Field of Dreams Camp
Back in 2016 is the Progressive Field of Dreams Camp. The camp allows attendees to take part in drills and instruction on the same field as the Indians play, and takes place from June 27-June 29. All campers will receive an Indians jersey and hat, Indians drawstring backpack, Indians Youth Baseball workbook, Indians Diamond Dictionary poster, personalized photo with Progressive Field background, behind-the-scenes tour of the ballpark, and a voucher for two tickets to see the Indians play on Indians Youth Baseball Camp Reunion night (August 21, 2016).
Advanced Development Camp
New this year is the Advanced Development Hitting Camp, which gives players the ultimate development experience with a focus on improving physical, fundamental and mental aspects of hitting. The camp takes place on August 8-10 at Progressive Field and runs 9AM-12PM. This camp is offered for players ages 13-18 who are serious about taking their game to the next level.
Coaching Series
Also new this year is the Coaching Development Series. This three-part series aids youth baseball and softball coaches, as well as parents and guardians of children ages 5-12 in discussing and teaching the principles of the Indians Youth Baseball Player Development model. Sessions take place on March 23, March 30 and April 5 from 6:30PM-8:30PM at Progressive Field with registration and a reception beginning at 5:45PM, including appetizers, water and soft drinks.

All camps and Coaching Series once again will be led by Cleveland native and former Major League Baseball player, Matt Kata and are designed to focus on developing basic fundamental skills and knowledge of the game, positive character traits, and strengthening the love for the game and the Cleveland Indians.
