Rehabbing Reddick hot at plate in Minors

OAKLAND -- Josh Reddick's offensive production has been equally encouraging as his health, meaning his Minor League rehab assignment likely won't need to be extended past Sunday.

The A's outfielder, who will be re-evaluated at the end of the weekend, is 7-for-13 with a pair of homers and seven RBIs in three games for Class A Advanced Stockton and feeling no discomfort with his rehabbing right knee.

He went 3-for-5 with a home run for the Ports at Inland Empire on Friday.

"That's a good sign," said A's manager Bob Melvin. "He knows we want him feeling good. That was the case the last time, and he took that pretty seriously, and I'm sure he's doing that again this time."

Barring any setbacks, Reddick could be activated in time for the start of a three-game home set with the Astros on Tuesday.
