Sean Reid-Foley's string of dominant performances for Class A Advanced Dunedin continued on Sunday as he allowed one hit over 7 1/3 scoreless innings in a 1-0 win against Tampa.
The Blue Jays' No. 3 prospect struck out nine and generated eight ground-ball outs in the outing, throwing 66 of his 97 pitches for strikes. More importantly, he did not issue a walk for the second time in three starts.
Reid-Foley, 20, retired the first 13 hitters he faced before surrendering a one-out single to Abiatal Avelino in the fifth inning. He retired the next nine hitters in order, striking out four, before departing the game with one out in the eighth inning.
"I really established my fastball and that's what helped me get into good counts," Reid-Foley told MiLB.com. "Having that kind of just took care of everything else. Now when I've been getting ahead, I've been putting batters away or getting them to ground out. I've been establishing the bottom half of the plate with my offspeed stuff."
Reid-Foley has been nothing short of outstanding so far in his return to the Florida State League, going 3-0 with a 0.68 ERA and a 0.68 WHIP in four starts. He's held opposing hitters to a .122 average and just 11 hits during that stretch, with 32 strikeouts and six walks in 26 1/3 innings.
The 2014 second-rounder earned a promotion to Dunedin after a strong showing in the Midwest League, where he posted a 2.95 ERA with 59 strikeouts over 58 innings (11 starts) for Class A Lansing. "[Lansing pitching coach] Jeff Ware and I worked a lot on perfecting my delivery and repeating it every time," Reid-Foley said. "We all know it's not perfect, but the more we can repeat it, the better results I'll have. I think that's the biggest thing we've been able to do this year in my development."
Overall, Reid-Foley has pitched to a 2.24 ERA with a 91-28 strikeout-to-walk ratio in 84 1/3 innings (15 starts) between both stops.

• No. 5 overall prospect Yoan Moncada hit a leadoff homer for Double-A Portland, but it was the only run the SeaDogs scored in an 8-1 loss to Hartford. The Red Sox's No. 1 prospect has homered in two of his past three games and has three long balls in 12 contests since moving up from Class-A Advanced Salem, where he hit .307/.427/.496 with four homers in 61 games.

• No. 10 overall prospect Brendan Rodgers (Rockies' No. 1) powered Class A Ashville to a win over Greenville by going 2-for-5 with four RBIs. The 19-year-old shortstop plated a run with a single in the third inning and then tagged a three-run homer, his 11th of the season, in the fifth. He's 6-for-12 with four runs scored and five RBIs in his last three games.
"I think it's good for me to have this little hot streak I guess you could say," Rodgers told MiLB.com. "Going back home in front of our fans, especially for the Fourth of July and stuff, it's going to be a packed house the next few days. I'm looking to play hard and help contribute to get some wins this homestand."

• Jose Berrios' turnaround continued as the No. 15 overall prospect recorded his fourth career complete game to pace Triple-A Rochester in a victory over Syracuse. The Twins' No. 1 prospect fired nine strong innings during which he allowed four hits and fanned seven. More important, Berrios, 22, did not issue a walk in the start, marking the first time he's done so in 2016.
• After going 1-for-4 in Fresno's loss to Salt Lake, No. 18 overall prospect Alex Bregman (Astros' No. 1) has collected eight hits in 17 at-bats in his four games since being promoted to Triple-A. Two of those hits have left the yard, including the three-run home run he hit Sunday -- his 16th in 66 games this season -- and he also has scored seven times and tallied eight RBIs in that span.

• No. 56 overall prospectNick Williams proved the hero for Triple-A Lehigh Valley as he delivered a walk-off single in the bottom of the 13th inning to defeat Charlotte, 8-7. The Phillies' No. 3 prospect finished the game 3-for-7 at the plate to improve his season batting line to .290/.330/.469 through 72 games.

• Indians No. 6 prospect Triston McKenzie fired six innings of four-hit ball and struck out six in what was his third scoreless performance in four starts for Class A Short Season Mahoning Valley. The 18-year-old right-hander has allowed one earned run in 22 2/3 innings to begin his season, posting a 0.75 WHIP and a 25-3 strikeout-to-walk ratio in that span.
• Twins No. 6 prospect Kohl Stewart was at his best as he hurled seven scoreless innings in Double-A Chattanooga's win over Pensacola. The 21-year-old righty surrendered four hits and two walks in the outing, striking out seven. He's completed exactly seven innings on 102 pitches in each of his last two starts.
• D.J. Peterson is enjoying his time in the hitter-friendly Pacific Coast League. A night after going 4-for-5 with four RBIs, the Mariners' No. 6 prospect connected on his first Triple-A home run (12th overall) in Tacoma's victory over Las Vegas. The 24-year-old first baseman accrued 10 extra-base hits and 15 RBIs during his current 11-game hitting streak.

• Mariners No. 7 prospect Nick Neidert piled up 11 strikeouts in the longest outing of his young career, allowing two earned runs over eight innings in Class A Clinton's win against Peoria. The 2015 second-rounder scattered five hits and did not issue a walk, throwing 66 of his 91 pitches for strikes in the game. Neidert, 19, is now 6-1 in his eight starts this season, during which he's posted a 2.22 ERA, a 0.80 WHIP and a 43-6 strikeout-to-walk ratio in 48 2/3 innings.
• Making his Triple-A debut, Royals No. 7 prospectBubba Starling hit a booming three-run home run to left field to help power Omaha past Memphis, 8-3, in Game 1 of a doubleheader. With Reymond Fuentes landing on the disabled list, the Royals decided to promote the 2011 No. 5 overall Draft pick from Double-A Northwest Arkansas, where he had hit just .191/.256/.343 with 81 strikeouts in 63 games.

• Indians No. 8 prospect Francisco Mejia went 1-for-4 for Class A Advanced Lynchburg to extend his hitting streak to 29 games, tying him with Alex Dickerson (Padres' No. 23) for the longest streak in the Minors this season. Overall, the 20-year-old backstop has hit .344/.376/.529 in 65 games between Class A Lake County and Lynchburg.
• Astros No. 10 prospect Albert Abreu tossed eight scoreless innings, a new career high, but ultimately received a no-decision after Class A Quad Cities' bullpen coughed up a ninth-inning lead against Kane County. It was an efficient performance for the 20-year-old hard-throwing righty, as he allowed a pair of hits and walks and struck out five en route to throwing 97 pitches (62 strikes). Over his last four starts, Abreu has given up one earned run on nine hits in 24 innings.
"He's set out to work to get as many guys out in four or less pitches as possible," Class A Quad Cities pitching coach Chris Holt told MiLB.com. "He's really been challenging himself [with that plan]. Sometimes [we'll get into deeper counts] with foul balls, but he stays on [the hitter] with the plan and continues to attack with quality pitches, both in and out of the zone."
• Pirates No. 24 prospect Trevor Williams gave up one hit in seven scoreless innings and retired the final 16 hitters he faced as Triple-A Indianapolis shut out Toledo, 2-0. The 24-year-old right-hander struck out five while throwing 61 of his 84 pitches for strikes in the outing.
