Reynaldo López is eager to get back to the big leagues.
In his first start since debuting with the Nationals on July 19, Lopez recorded his first shutout on Sunday as Triple-A Syracuse defeated Rochester, 6-0. The Nationals' No. 5 prospect scattered four hits and struck out seven in nine dominant innings, throwing 69 of his 99 pitches for strikes.
Lopez has been sharp during his brief time with Syracuse, going 2-0 in three starts while posting a 1.80 ERA and a 0.95 WHIP with 16 strikeouts in 20 innings. Before moving up to the Minors' highest level, the 22-year-old right-hander pitched to a 3.18 ERA and piled up 100 strikeouts in 76 1/3 innings (14 starts) for Double-A Harrisburg.

Though Lopez struggled in his big league debut -- he allowed six earned runs on 10 hits against the Dodgers -- the hard-throwing righty did showcase his bat-missing skills by punching out nine hitters in 4 2/3 innings, while issuing just one walk.
Lopez has tallied 116 strikeouts in 96 1/3 innings (17 starts) this season between the Double-A and Triple-A levels.

• Blue Jays No. 7 prospect Max Pentecost homered and doubled as part of a 2-for-4 performance in Class A Lansing's win against Lake County. The 2014 first-rounder is hitting .299 with seven homers through 53 games this year.
• It was a special Sunday for Brewers No. 29 prospect Brandon Woodruff, who paired a nearly untouchable outing with some magic at the plate in a 1-0 win for Double-A Biloxi. Woodruff allowed just one hit in six innings, striking out nine and walking none. But it was the righty's solo homer -- the game's only run and the first jack of Woodruff's career -- that sealed the deal for the Shuckers.

• Cubs No. 9 prospect Oscar De La Cruz was sharp in his third start for Class A Short Season Eugene, as he struck out seven and allowed one earned run on three hits and a walk in 4 1/3 innings. The 21-year-old right-hander has piled up 16 strikeouts in 11 1/3 innings to begin his season.
• Giants No. 21 prospectTy Blach allowed one earned run in seven innings to record his second complete game of the season for Triple-A Sacramento. The left-hander scattered six hits and also struck out six, throwing 73 of his 97 pitches for strikes, as the River Cats defeated El Paso, 5-1, in game one of a twin bill. Blach has won each of his past five starts, during which he's pitched to a 0.97 ERA in 37 innings.

• Marlins No. 8 prospect Isael Soto fell a single short of hitting for the cycle and drove in all three of Class A Greensboro's runs in a loss against Augusta. The home run, a two-run shot in the bottom of the fourth, was his eighth of the season, and he later added an RBI triple.
• Making his debut for Class A Short Season Brooklyn, Mets No. 17 prospect Thomas Szapucki fired 5 1/3 innings of four-hit ball in a 3-0 win against Staten Island. The 20-year-old southpaw issued three walks and struck out eight, giving him a 55-12 strikeout-to-walk ratio along with a 0.52 ERA in 34 1/3 innings for the season.
• Rays No. 13 prospectJustin Williams went 2-for-4 with a triple and three RBIs to help Double-A Montgomery defeat Birmingham, 6-4. It was just the sixth Double-A game for the 20-year-old outfielder, who was promoted to Montgomery after hitting .330/.350/.448 over 51 games with Class A Advanced Charlotte.
• Red Sox No. 11 prospect Mauricio Dubon extended his hitting streak to six games on Sunday as he went 4-for-4 with two doubles in Double-A Portland's loss against Binghamton. The four-hit performance was his third of the season and first at the Double-A level. The 22-year-old shortstop has hit .333 with 11 extra-base hits over 26 games since being promoted from Class A Advanced Salem, where he posted a .306/.387/.379 batting line with 24 steals and 53 runs scored in 62 games.

• Reds No. 21 prospect Aristedes Aquino filled out the stat sheet as he helped power Class A Advanced Daytona in a doubleheader against Bradenton. He hit a two-run homer, his 14th of the year, as well as a double in game one, finishing 3-for-4 at the plate, before putting a bow on his day with a 2-for-4 performance in the nightcap. Gavin LaValley (Reds' No. 25) also went deep for Daytona, his sixth, and tallied three RBIs in game two for Daytona.
