RHP Josh Lindblom claimed off waivers by Pittsburgh

OAKLAND, Calif. - The Oakland A's announced today that right-handed pitcher Josh Lindblom was claimed off waivers by the Pittsburgh Pirates.

Lindlom was designated for assignment Nov. 28 as a result of the A's trade with Toronto. He made one start with Oakland in 2014 as he was recalled April 2 to start the second game of a day/night doubleheader with Cleveland. The 27-year-old right-hander allowed two runs in 4.2 innings and had a no decision in the A's 6-4 loss. Lindblom was optioned back to Sacramento following the game and spent the balance of the season with the River Cats where he went 4-3 with a 5.79 ERA in 17 games, 16 starts.
