Rios' ankle not a concern

ARLINGTON -- Rangers right fielder Alex Rios was in the lineup Friday against the A's for the third straight day in a row after spraining his ankle Saturday in Toronto.

Rios sustained the injury in the first inning of the game with the Blue Jays, and missed three games because of it. He returned to the lineup against the Yankees both Wednesday and Thursday, going a combined 1-for-6 in the two games.

Rangers manager Ron Washington said Rios' ankle isn't too much of a concern at this point.

"His ankle is fine," Washington said. "It really is."
