Robinson Cano's sweet swing on display in new "For the Love of Baseball" TV spot

Five-time All-Star second baseman Robinson Cano of the Seattle Mariners - and his sweet swing - is the star of the latest creative spot from Major League Baseball's "For the Love of Baseball" campaign.

Showcasing one of the top hitters in baseball over the past decade, this new spot showcases Cano's swing by superimposing six different videos of Cano hitting pitches in different parts of the strike zone, noting that "with one of the sweetest swings in baseball, there's no part of the strike zone [he] can't cover." The multiple overlays create a ghost-like image, making it look like Cano is actually hitting six different balls with one swing. The spot finishes with Cano emphatically connecting on all the different pitched balls at once, while viewers hear, "Which means any pitch you throw at him, might be one you wish you had back."

The new creative debuts tonight on MLB Network and can be viewed on MLBFanCave.com and MLB.com. The spot will appear throughout the season on ESPN, FOX, FOX Sports 1, TBS and MTV2.

The "For the Love of Baseball" campaign, created by BBDO, celebrates everything that makes baseball special showcasing the personalities and unique abilities of some of the game's biggest stars.

Cano joins Bryce Harper, Clayton Kershaw, Andrew McCutchen, David Price and Mike Trout in being featured in the campaign. Additional player-specific creative featuring more of the game's top players, including Prince Fielder, will roll out throughout the season.
