SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -- Rockies right-hander Jordan Lyles' up-and-down Spring Training numbers experienced another dip Wednesday, when he allowed five runs (four earned) and six hits in 4 1/3 innings in a Minor League camp game.
Lyles struck out four and walked four while pitching for Triple-A Albuquerque against Double-A Hartford.
Lyles' outing did not count as part of his Cactus League statistics, which show him as 0-2 with a 5.56 ERA in six games, including three starts. In his last official outing, he entered in relief and held the Angels scoreless with one strikeout, two hits and a walk in four innings pitched.

Lyles has been working on his secondary pitches and his pacing, as he tries to turn the page on an injury-shortened 2015.
Lyles suffered a right big toe ligament injury that required season-ending surgery after 10 starts, when he went 2-5 with a 5.14 ERA. The success of the Rockies' 2016 rotation is highly dependent on Lyles and Tyler Chatwood, who has been sidelined since April 2014 after having Tommy John surgery, returning effectively.
