Colorado Rockies place right-handed pitcher Adam Ottavino on disabled list; recall right-hander Jorge Rondon

Righty David Hale reinstated from disabled list and optioned to Albuquerque

PHOENIX - The Colorado Rockies announced today that the club has placed right-handed pitcher Adam Ottavino on the 15-day disabled list due to right triceps inflammation and recalled right-hander Jorge Rondon from Triple-A Albuquerque.

Ottavino, 29, is 1-0 with three saves. He has made 10 appearances, allowing three hits and no runs in 10.1 innings.

Rondon has one Major League appearance, a one-inning stint for the St. Louis Cardinals at Los Angeles (NL) on June 29, 2014.   The Rockies claimed the 27-year-old Venezuela native off waivers on Nov. 3, 2014.   This year he has allowed two hits and one run in 6.2 innings over five games at Albuquerque.

The Rockies also reinstated David Hale from the 15-day disabled list and optioned the right-hander to Triple A.

Hale, 27, has made two Minor League rehab appearances, working four innings over two starts. He was placed on the disabled list April 5 with a strained left oblique.

The Rockies have a full 40-man roster.
