Colorado Rockies recall left-handed pitcher Chris Rusin from Triple-A

The Colorado Rockies on Tuesday recalled left-handed pitcher Chris Rusin from Triple-A Albuquerque and optioned left-hander Yohan Flande to the Isotopes. 

Rusin is scheduled to be the Rockies' starting pitcher Tuesday in the second game of the Rockies' three-game series against the Cincinnati Reds after left-hander Jorge De La Rosa was scratched due to a cut on his left middle finger.

Rusin, 28, has made seven appearances, six starts for Triple-A Albuquerque in 2015, posting a 3-2 record with a 6.29 ERA (34.1 IP, 24 ER). He is in his first season with the Rockies organization after being claimed off waivers from the Chicago Cubs on Sept. 27, 2014. From 2012 to 2014, Rusin made 24 appearances, 20 starts, for the Cubs, going 4-9 with a 4.97 ERA (108.2 IP, 60 ER). This will be his second stint with the club after being added as the 26th man in the second game of the May 6 doubleheader against the Diamondbacks.

Flande, 29, made three appearances for the Rockies since being recalled on May 14, going 0-0 with a 7.36 ERA (7.1 IP, 6 ER). He has a 5-0 record and 1.36 ERA in six starts at Double-A this season, allowing 27 hits and six earned runs in 39.2 innings.

The Rockies have a full 40-man roster.
