Rockies recall RHP Scott Oberg, OF Mike Tauchman

Right-handed pitcher Jeff Hoffman, infielder Ryan McMahon optioned to Triple-A Albuquerque.

The Colorado Rockies announced today that they have recalled right-handed pitcher Scott Oberg and outfielder Mike Tauchman and have optioned right-handed pitcher Jeff Hoffman and infielder Ryan McMahon to Triple-A Albuquerque.
Oberg, 27, will be making his second stint on the Major League roster this season … made his first career Opening Day roster this season and has gone 0-1 with a 5.91 ERA (42.2 IP, 28 ER), 18 walks and 40 strikeouts in 49 relief appearances with Colorado … in three relief appearances with Albuquerque since being optioned Aug. 5, is 1-0 with a 2.08 ERA (4.1 IP, 1 ER), one walk and five strikeouts … in his career with Colorado, he is 4-6 with two saves and a 5.39 ERA (127.0 IP, 76 ER), 60 walks and 104 strikeouts. 
Tauchman, 26, will be making his second stint on the Major League roster this season … had his contract selected for the first time June 27 and made his Major League debut that night … batted .222 (2-for-9) with one RBI and three walks across seven games (two starts) in his first stint with the Rockies … with Albuquerque this season, is batting .332 (131-for-394) with 78 runs, 28 doubles, eight triples, 16 home runs, 77 RBI, 38 walks and 16 stolen bases.
Hoffman, 24, has made four stints on the Major League roster this season, including one recall as the 26throster player … is 6-5 with a 5.30 ERA (91.2 IP, 54 ER), 33 walks and 73 strikeouts in 17 games (16 starts) with the Rockies this season … made his Major League debut Aug. 20, 2016, and is 6-9 with a 5.20 ERA (123.0 IP, 71 ER), 50 walks and 95 strikeouts in 25 games (22 starts) with the Rockies in his career.
McMahon, 22, had his contract selected from Albuquerque last Friday, Aug. 11, and made his Major League debut the following night at Miami … in four games (two starts at first base) with the Rockies, has batted .222 (2-for-9) with one run, one double, one RBI, two walks and one strikeout … in 108 Minor League games with Double-A Hartford (49 games) and Albuquerque (59 games), is batting .354 (152-for-429) with 71 runs, 37 doubles, three triples, 19 home runs, 82 RBI, 37 walks and 11 stolen bases.
