Rockies' rotation unchanged after rainout
Marquez will start first game of split twin bill Thursday, with Chatwood pitching at night
MINNEAPOLIS -- The Rockies and Twins will play Thursday in a split doubleheader -- 11:10 a.m. and 5:10 p.m. MT -- after Wednesday night's game was postponed by rain following a 28-minute delay.
The Rockies' pitching lineup is unchanged. Rockies right-hander German Marquez (1-2, 4.88 ERA) and Twins ace Ervin Santana (6-1, 1.50) will start the first game. Tyler Chatwood (3-5, 5.25) and Twins right-hander Jose Berrios (1-0, 1.17) will meet in the nightcap.
It's the Rockies' second rainout in nine days. After a rainout on May 8, they split a doubleheader with the Cubs the next day. Marquez started on May 10, holding the Cubs scoreless on three hits in eight innings in the Rockies' 3-0 victory.
The Rockies are carrying the best road record through 17 games in their history -- 12-5.
