Odor has hit in nine straight games, going 12-for-31 with five home runs.
"It's really sore, but when I got out there, I didn't care about it," Odor said. "I'm still going to give it 100 percent at the plate."
Odor is back, but Joey Gallo remains day to day with a sore left hamstring.
Both had to come out of Wednesday's game against the Red Sox because of their issues. That's why the Rangers optioned pitcher to Triple-A Round Rock and recalled utility player for Friday's series opener against the Angels.
"We were a player away from having a pitcher playing the field," manager Jeff Banister said.

Friday marked the third time in the last two weeks that Gallo has been out of the lineup because of his sore hamstring. Banister said Gallo is available off the bench.
