Royals celebrate "Our Time"

2012 Advertising Campaign Focuses on Team Resurgence, All-Star Game

As Opening Day nears, the Kansas City Royals celebrate the upcoming 2012 season with the new season-long campaign and tagline, "Our Time."  With exciting new cultural and business projects rejuvenating Kansas City, including the upcoming MLB All-Star Game, 2012 will be a singular moment for Kansas City and the Royals.

The "Our Time" logo, a melding of old and new, features the tagline set within the shape of the iconic Royals shield and crown.  The retro-based design replaces last year's tagline, "Major League Moments" to shift the focus from memorable moments experienced at the ballpark to the players and local leaders that are helping make Kansas City a premier destination.

"The Royals and Kansas City are both experiencing a renaissance and with hosting the Major League Baseball All-Star Game in 2012, it is "our time" to highlight our exciting young ballclub and our great city," said Michael Bucek, Royals Vice President-Marketing & Business Development.   
In partnership with Kansas City-based digital advertising firm VML, the new campaign will be promoted through a comprehensive media mix consisting of radio, print, online, social media and high definition television commercials.
