Royals Charities announces first-ever Giving Week
Royals Charities to host events and donate funds throughout Greater Kansas City Area November 30 through December 4
The Royals club foundation is proud to announce the first-ever Royals Charities Giving Week, set for November 30 through December 4.
Throughout the week, members of the Royals front office will be making various visits throughout the Greater Kansas City area, hosting special events and making donations to different programs. The Kansas City Royals Alumni Association will also have members attending each event and will be making additional donations throughout the week. Royals Charities will announce grant recipients from the fall 2015 grant cycle later in December. Please see below for the day-by-day list of locations and events.
Monday, November 30
Event: Visit Operation Breakthrough to present a check for $25,000 and pass out rally towels to children.
Time: 11:30 a.m. to noon

Tuesday, December 1
Event: Visit Hope House to present a check and items for the shelter. A total of $40,000 in grant money will be announced and awarded to support Hope House and three other domestic violence agencies.

Wednesday, December 2
Event: Visit KCK RBI's new field and present a $100,000 check for the field renovation.
Time: 3 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Thursday, December 3
Event: Travel to Fort Leavenworth to visit with military families and donate $12,500 to the USO. The Royals World Series Champions trophy will be made available for photo opportunities.

Friday, December 4
Event: Visit Variety Adaptive Field where a new adaptive playground will be located. A check for $60,000 will also be presented.

Location: CBAC Field, 11031 S. Valley Parkway, Olathe, KS (Across from Olathe Northwest High School)
Event: Assist with the Johnson County Christmas Bureau Family Holiday Shop. In addition, Royals Charities will make a $5,000 grant donation.
