Royals Charities announces special Postseason grant cycle

Money Raised During World Series Will Fund Additional Projects in KC Area

In celebration of the Kansas City Royals' incredible postseason journey, Royals Charities is opening an additional grant funding opportunity for organizations that meet the regular Royals Charities grant funding guidelines. Royals Charities is in search of one or two exciting projects that are in need of additional funding in the Kansas City area.

REQUIREMENTS

·Organization must be located in the Greater Kansas City Area.

·Applying organizations must have the 501(c)(3) designation or be a governmental entity.

·Projects for consideration must support children, education, youth baseball/softball, or military.

·Royals Charities does not fund operating expenses and is seeking to fund a tangible project through this program.

·Proposals can be for any dollar amount, but the final amount of the grants awarded will be determined by the money raised during the World Series week.

HOW TO APPLY

  • Interested organizations should submit a LETTER OF INTENT (no more than 1-2 pages) briefly describing your project by Friday, November 7, at 5 p.m. to [email protected].
  • Notification to organizations that will be asked to submit a formal proposal will be received by the organization on or about Friday, November 21.
  • 10 organizations will be asked to submit a formal proposal.
  • Final award notifications will be received by Friday, December 19.
