Royals host field maintenance clinic on March 24

The Kansas City Royals Grounds Crew, together with Royals Charities and the Baseball Tomorrow Fund, will host a field maintenance clinic at Kauffman Stadium tomorrow, March 24 from 10 a.m. to noon.

KANSAS CITY, MO (March 23, 2016) - The Kansas City Royals Grounds Crew, together with Royals Charities and the Baseball Tomorrow Fund, will host a field maintenance clinic at Kauffman Stadium tomorrow, March 24 from 10 a.m. to noon. 
 Those who are taking part in the private event will have the opportunity to step onto the field at Kauffman Stadium and get a special preview of preseason preparations with members of the Royals Grounds Crew, including Trevor Vance, Senior Director of Groundskeeping and Landscaping. Vance and his crew will cover topics including field maintenance, mound and home plate management, repairing problem areas and game day preparation.
Participants for the invitation-only event include past Royals Charities Royalty Field grant recipients, Baseball Tomorrow Fund grant recipients and members of the local Sports Turf Managers Association.
In conjunction with the clinic, Royals Charities and the Baseball Tomorrow Fund will present two $10,000 grants to the Clay Platte Baseball League for the renovation of their baseball fields.
