Omaha Storm Chasers (62-64)

Omaha settled for a 2-2 split as Fresno plated four in the first and led wire-to-wire. John Lamb made his Triple-A debut, striking out five while allowing five runs, six hits and two walks over five innings. Lamb, who entered with 19 starts this year at Wilmington, missed most of 2011 and '12 because of Tommy John surgery. Paulo Orlando hit a solo homer in the third, extending his hitting streak to seven games (.407, 11-for-27).

NW Arkansas Naturals (26-27 2nd half, 51-72 overall)

Northwest Arkansas lost a late lead, allowing five runs over the final two innings. Jason Adam produced a strong start, holding the Hooks to a run, seven hits and a walk over seven innings. The Blue Valley Northwest product fanned seven, bringing his season total to 107. Rey Navarro had three RBIs, including a leadoff home run. Angel Franco finished 4-for-4 with two runs scored.

Wilmington Blue Rocks (23-29 2nd half, 56-66 overall)

Wilmington let a 6-2 lead slip away as Lynchburg plated five in the seventh and one in the eighth. Tripp Davis made his Wilmington debut, yielding three runs and eight hits over five innings. Davis, signed as a non-drafted free agent in June, made 11 appearances with Surprise. Parker Morin and Yem Prades drove in two runs apiece. Justin Trapp added two hits, an RBI and a run.

Lexington lost a pair in South Carolina. Daniel Stumpf went the distance in Game 1, allowing just two hits over six innings, including a homer in the fourth. Hunter Dozier made his Lexington debut, going 2-for-3 with a double in Game 1. He added a sac fly in Game 2.

Idaho Falls Chukars (10-5 2nd half, 29-24 overall)

Idaho Falls has won seven of eight overall and two of three vs. Billings. The Chukars scored all six runs over the first three innings. Every position player recorded at least one hit, with Carlos Garcia and Elier Hernandez posting three apiece. Dominique Taylor had two hits, including a two-run homer. Josiel Martinez pitched 2.0 innings for the win.

Burlington Royals (24-30)

Lewis Urena scored on a throwing error as Burlington won the opener vs. Danville. All of the scoring in regulation came in the second. Andrew Ayers' double plated Urena, tying the game at 1-1. Starter Zach Lovvorn held Danville to a run on three hits and two walks over five innings.

Surprise Royals (7-10 2nd half, 17-28 overall)

Brawlun Gomez singled in the ninth, scoring Jecksson Flores as the Royals won 5-4 in Goodyear. Every Surprise batter had at least one hit, with Samir Duenez recording two singles, a double and a walk.
