Omaha Storm Chasers (55-51)

Omaha scored four in the eighth to take a 7-3 lead, only to see New Orleans plate five in the home half. Pena gave Omaha a 2-0 lead with a two-run homer in the third. Justin Maxwell had two hits, two runs and an RBI. Paulo Orlando added a two-run single in the eighth. Buddy Baumann held New Orleans to two runs (one earned) over four innings. Coleman allowed five runs over 1 1/3 innings.

NW Arkansas Naturals (18-18 second half, 43-63 overall)

WP: Christian Binford (3-1 with NW Arkansas, 8-5 overall)
HR: None

Binford (6 1/3 innings), Sam Selman (1 2/3 innings) and Ali Williams (one inning) combined on a shutout of Springfield, with Binford scattering seven hits, allowing no walks and striking out six. The No. 11 Royals prospect has recorded 115 stikeouts while issuing only 14 walks through 112 combined innings between Wilmington and Northwest Arkansas. Justin Trapp was 3-for-3 with a double and three runs scored. Angel Franco added two hits and an RBI.

Wilmington Blue Rocks (18-16 second half, 51-51 overall)

Winston-Salem 2, Wilmington 1

HR: Bubba Starling (8)

Winston-Salem's Jason Coats homered in the 11th, handing Wilmington a home loss. 2014 first-round pick Brandon Finnegan tossed four scoreless innings, bringing his total to 11 scoreless stanzas in the pros. Winston-Salem pushed across the game's first run in the seventh. Starling countered with a solo shot in the home half. He's ranked seventh among Royals prospects by MLB.com.

Lexington Legends (12-23 second half, 41-64 overall)

The Legends snapped an eight-game skid. Fernandez (6.0 IP, 1 H, 0 ER, 2 BB, 4 SO) earned the win, with Tenuta (3.0 IP, 2 H, 0 ER, 2 BB, 2 SO) notching a save. Frank Schwindel had two doubles, a triple and an RBI.

Idaho Falls Chukars (20-18)

Ogden 7, Idaho Falls 6
LP: Jake Newberry (3-2)
HR: Luis Valenzuela (1)

The Chukars dropped Game 1 at Ogden. They scored two in the ninth, leaving the tying and go-ahead runs on base. Valenzuela went 3-for-4 with a home run, four RBIs, two runs and a walk. DonAndre Clark posted two runs and his 12th stolen base, which ranks third in the league.

Burlington Royals (17-18)

Burlington 5, Kingsport 2

Burlington moved to 3-0 in a four-game set. Joshua Banuelos was 2-for-4 with an RBI and a run. Riley King and Logan Moon each added two hits and an RBI. 2014 second-rounder Scott Blewett allowed an unearned run over three innings.
