Omaha Storm Chasers (18-20)

Omaha used a five-run eighth to overtake Memphis in the series opener. Christian Colon recorded three hits, an RBI and two runs, extending his hitting streak to seven games (.394, 13-for-33). Colon is ranked 15th among Royals prospects by MLB.com. Fletcher, Paulo Orlando and Jimmy Paredes drove home two runs apiece. Fletcher homered and has hit safely in six straight games (.423, 11-for-26). John Lamb fanned four while allowing four runs (three earned), four hits and four walks over six innings.

NW Arkansas Naturals (15-24)

The Naturals finished 1-2 in a series that was shortened due to Wednesday's rainout. Alex Yarbrough slugged a pair of three-run homers for Arkansas. Mark Threlkeld and Juan Graterol had two hits apiece for the Naturals. Selman struck out six and walked five, allowing six runs on six hits over 3 2/3 innings. The Naturals host Tulsa (Rockies) on Friday night.

Wilmington Blue Rocks (17-20)

Wilmington at Lynchburg -- Postponed due to rain

Wilmington's opener at Lynchburg was postponed due to rain. A doubleheader is scheduled for Friday night, beginning at 5:05 p.m. ET. Royals fourth-ranked prospect Sean Manaea will start Game 1, with fellow lefty Daniel Stumpf slated for the nightcap.

Lexington's four-game winning streak was snapped by the Tourists. No. 10 Royals prospect Elier Hernandez recorded two doubles, two RBI, a walk and a run. Chism hit his second home run in as many days. Alfredo Escalera and Ramon Torres had two hits and a run apiece. Torres has hit safely in six straight games (.320, 8-for-25).
