Omaha Storm Chasers (23-25)

Omaha rode a six-run first inning to a second win in as many games against the Express. Johnny Giavotella's two-run homer started the scoring. Jesus Flores cleared the bases with a three-run double, and Brett Eibner and Melky Mesa added solo home runs later in the game. Omar Infante made his second rehab appearance, starting at second base and going 2-for-4 with a double and a run. Mike Moustakas recorded a single and a walk as the designated hitter. P.J. Walters earned the win, striking out seven while yielding two runs over six innings.

NW Arkansas Naturals (16-31)

The Naturals lost their first game of a set with Corpus Christi, the club's sixth straight loss overall. Edinson Rincon and Orlando Calixte hit solo homers. Rincon finished the night 2-for-4 with two runs. Calixte, ranked ninth among KC prospects by MLB.com, is batting .300 (15-for-50) with four home runs through 13 games. Starter Tim Melville struck out three while allowing two runs, three hits and three walks over four innings. Angel Baez followed with three scoreless stanzas.

Wilmington moved to 5-1 on the homestand and over .500 on the year. Cody Stubbs hit a three-run homer and drove in five, finishing a double shy of a cycle. Zane Evans posted three hits and three runs. Bubba Starling's RBI triple extended his hitting streak to 13 games (.327, 16-for-49). Jonathan Dziedzic (5 IP, 6 H, 2 ER, 2 BB, 5 SO) earned the win, with Yender Caramo (4 IP, 5 H, 2 R, 1 ER, 0 BB, 2 SO) picking up a save.

Lexington dropped to 1-2 in a four-game series. Jake Junis (5 IP, 7 H, 4 ER, 3 BB) had his winning streak snapped at four. A second-inning double ended his streak of 10 consecutive hitless innings. Ramon Torres doubled twice, lifting his season average to .308 (48-for-156). He's 10-for-21 over the last five games (.476).
