Omaha won a fourth straight overall, improving to 3-0 in a four-game road set. Mike Moustakas recorded three hits, including a go-ahead three-run double in the third. "Moose" also doubled in the second and scored the game's first run. Ryan Verdugo (5 2/3 IP, 5 H, 2 R, 1 ER, 0 BB, 2 SO) earned his first win of 2014. Spencer Patton lowered his ERA to 1.07 (3 ER in 24 1/3 IP) while moving into a tie for first in the PCL with 10 saves.

NW Arkansas Naturals (18-34)

Northwest Arkansas was swept in a three-game set at San Antonio, with the first two games decided by one run. Tim Melville struck out four while allowing three runs (two earned), four hits and four walks over 6 innings. Royals No. 3 prospect Jorge Bonifacio singled in the fourth and No. 19 prospect Cheslor Cuthbert doubled in the seventh. The Naturals are at Corpus Christi (Astros) on Friday.

Wilmington Blue Rocks (27-25)

Wilmington missed out on a three-game sweep after recording back-to-back shutouts on Tuesday and Wednesday. The Blue Rocks took a 3-0 lead in the first. Michael Antonio doubled home Jack Lopez and Cody Stubbs followed with a two-run single. Stubbs added a solo homer in the fourth and finished with three hits. Carolina took a 5-4 lead with four in the fifth off Jonathan Dziedzic (4 1/3 IP, 7 H, 5 ER, 0 BB, 4 SO).

Lexington Legends (23-30)

Augusta 6, Lexington 4

Lexington lost a back-and-forth opener. The GreenJackets scored the first four runs off Jake Junis (5 IP, 5 H, 4 ER, 3 BB, 2 SO). The Legends scored four times from the third to the fifth, with Augusta plating the final two runs. Samir Duenez, Dominque Taylor and Ramon Torres had two hits and a run apiece. Frank Schwindel doubled home a run and is batting .350 (14-for-40) with 14 RBIs since May 19.
