Royals recall Dwyer, Falu from Triple-A

KANSAS CITY -- The Royals recalled pitcher Chris Dwyer and infielder Irving Falu from Triple-A Omaha on Wednesday, and they were expected to be in uniform for the series finale against the Indians.

Dwyer pitched seven scoreless one-hit innings on Tuesday night as Omaha's Storm Chasers won the Triple-A National Championship, 2-1, over Durham at Allentown, Pa. He had a perfect game until there were two outs in the seventh. Falu drove in the winning run in the sixth inning.

This is left-hander Dwyer's first experience in the Major Leagues. Falu played in 24 games for Kansas City last season with a .341 average while taking the field at second, short, third and left field. He was called up for one game this year, but he did not play.
