Royals reinstate 3B Mike Moustakas

Moustakas, 27, is hitting .258 with six doubles, seven homers and 13 RBI in his first 25 games this season. He played in two rehab games with the Naturals, going 2-for-8 with an RBI.

The Kansas City Royals announced today that third baseman Mike Moustakas has been returned from his rehab assignment with Northwest Arkansas (AA) and reinstated from the 15-day disabled list (left thumb fracture). Moustakas will be in uniform for this afternoon's game against the Chicago White Sox. To make room on the 25-man roster, the club has optioned infielder Cheslor Cuthbert to Omaha (AAA).
