The Kansas City Royals announced today that they have returned outfielder Brett Eibner from his rehab assignment and reinstated him from the 15-day disabled list. Eibner was placed on the D.L. on June 1 with a left ankle sprain. To make room on the 25-man roster, the Royals have optioned outfielder Reymond Fuentes to Omaha (AAA).
Eibner, 27, was 6-for-13 (.462) with three doubles and two RBI in four games with the Royals before the injury.
