Royals request unconditional release waivers on pitcher Guillermo Moscoso

The Kansas City Royals today requested Unconditional Release Waivers on right-handed pitcher Guillermo Moscoso.  Following the move, the Royals have 51 active players in Major League camp and 39 active players on the 40-man roster, not counting right-handed pitcher Felipe Paulino who is currently on the 60-day Disabled List.

Moscoso, 29, was claimed by the Royals on Outright Waivers from the Colorado Rockies on November 2, 2012.  He was 0-1 with a 9.00 ERA in three appearances this spring, including one start.
