Pitchers and catchers to report to camp Feb. 18

Royals' full squad arrives Feb. 22; Cactus League opens March 2

KANSAS CITY -- Pitchers and catchers for the World Series champion Royals will report to Spring Training on Feb. 18, while the full squad will report Feb. 22, the team announced Tuesday.

The Royals also unveiled their Spring Training schedule -- they open March 2 in Surprise, Ariz., against the Rangers.

Other highlights include a two-game series against the Rangers at the Alamodome in San Antonio on March 18-19. The Royals will conclude the spring schedule with a two-game series against the D-backs at Chase Field in Phoenix on April 1-2, before opening the regular season on Sunday, April 3, against their 2015 World Series opponent, the New York Mets, on ESPN's Sunday Night Baseball.
