The non-waiver Trade Deadline is quickly approaching, and the Rangers are among the clubs looking to the trade market for pitching help before Aug. 1.
The Rangers have been linked to numerous trade targets, including Rays pitchers Matt Moore, Jake Odorizzi and Drew Smyly. Texas was one of several teams with scouts in attendance at Tropicana Field on Saturday to watch Moore pitch (per the Tampa Bay Times), joining the Dodgers, Red Sox, Pirates and Nationals. MLB.com's Bill Chastain reported that the Rangers, Dodgers and Nationals scouts remained in St. Petersburg on Sunday to take in Odorizzi's latest outing.
The Rangers are also in talks with the Padres regarding right-hander Andrew Cashner and have interest in Atlanta's Julio Teheran, whom the Braves have been unwilling to deal thus far, according to MLB.com's T.R. Sullivan.
Any of those pitchers would bolster a Rangers rotation that has been hit hard with injuries this season, having lost Colby Lewis and Derek Holland in June. The club is currently relying on improved production from back-end startersA.J. Griffin and Kyle Lohse.
Texas could also be in the market for an additional bullpen arm with the Yankees' Andrew Miller surfacing as a potential target, according to Jeff Wilson of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.

Archer off the market
The Rays have informed teams that starter Chris Archer is not available for trade unless an offer "totally overwhelms them," ESPN's Buster Olney reported Sunday evening.
Archer has been previously linked to the Dodgers, whose current president of baseball operations, Andrew Friedman, was the Rays' general manager when Tampa Bay traded for Archer in 2011.
Archer, 27, has underperformed with the Rays this season, posting a 4-13 record and a 4.68 ERA, but is just one year removed from his All-Star campaign in 2015. The right-hander is under team control through the 2021 season.

Hill on the block
The A's Rich Hill is gaining traction on the trade market with multiple clubs in attendance to watch what may have been his final start with Oakland.
The San Francisco Chronicle's Susan Slusser reported that the Red Sox, Orioles, Marlins, Tigers and Rangers were among the teams with scouts at Oakland Coliseum. Hill's appearance was short-lived, however, as the lefty exited after just five pitches, having aggravated a blister on his left middle finger.
Hill said the injury will need at least three or four days to heal and that it was too early to know when he can make his next start. It's the same blister that scratched him from his scheduled start Friday.
Hill, 36, is 9-3 with a 2.25 ERA for the A's this season. He's eligible to become a free agent this winter.

Vizcaino still available
Despite landing on the disabled list with an oblique strain Saturday, Braves closer Arodys Vizcaíno is still available for trade, according to MLB Network's Jon Heyman.
Vizcaino compiled a 1.52 ERA and converted six of his seven save opportunities through his first 23 appearances this season, but stumbled of late, posted a 5.11 ERA in his final 15 outings entering the All-Star break.
"[Vizcaino] is a huge part of what we're trying to do here," Braves interim manager Brian Snitker said. "He's a young kid who cares a lot and wants to do well. What he brings will be very valuable to the Atlanta Braves for a long time."
