OAKLAND -- No one can contain Ryon Healy these days.
The A's slugger belted a pair of solo shots in Saturday's 5-2 win over the Yankees and right-hander Masahiro Tanaka, who served up a trio of dingers before he was chased from the mound.

Healy was something of one-man comeback crew for the A's, who briefly fell behind when the Yankees put up a couple of runs in the second inning. First Healy tied up the game by depositing a ball into the left-field bleachers in the bottom of the inning. His next at-bat, in the fourth, Healy hit another towering dinger to put the A's in front for good.
Oakland's designated hitter/infielder has been absolutely on fire lately, recording three multihomer efforts since June 3.
"Trusting the process," Healy said. "It's a day-to-day grind. There's been a lot days this season where I feel terrible in the cage and I just have to go out and clear my mind and just battle, compete in the box. Really emphasize getting a good pitch to hit and putting my best swing on it."

Funny thing, because Healy wasn't feeling great during batting practice before the game.
"I was grumpy in the cage," Healy said. "On the walk back up [after the game], [assistant hitting coach Marcus] Jensen laughed at me, like, 'All that fussing in the cage and you go out and have a day like that.' Well, I got to get it out of my system. I'd rather do it earlier before the game than during the game."
In the past 14 contests, Healy is batting .375 (21-for-56) with eight homers, 18 RBIs, six doubles and 12 runs scored. Still, the 25-year-old said he's not content with the way he's swinging the bat.
"I still think it's getting there," Healy said. "I'm not satisfied with the consistency of it. There's things that I'm still not doing well enough on a day-to-day basis. Fortunately, I'm still able to go out and compete. That's the biggest thing. No matter how good or bad you feel, you still have to go out here and give your team an opportunity to win the ballgame."

Matt Joyce also kept up his recent hot streak and sent the first pitch he saw from Tanaka into the right-field bleachers for a solo shot in the first. The A's later tacked on two runs in the fourth to push the score to its final margin and secure the win for starter Jesse Hahn.
Oakland is on the verge of handing the AL East-leading Yankees a four-game sweep heading into Sunday's series finale.
"I think winning's important, regardless of when it is," Healy said. "It's a big three games and we'll continue to build on that."
