Salvy stays hot with HR in 4th straight game

April 9th, 2017

HOUSTON -- En Fuego.
That may be the only way to describe Royals catcher right now.
Perez crushed a home run over the train tracks at Minute Maid Park in his first at-bat in Sunday's 5-4 loss in 12 innings. Perez has homered in four straight games, the first Royal to do that since did it from July 26-29 in 2011.
"Salvy is really hot right now," manager Ned Yost said. "Really swinging the bat."
Perez's home run on Sunday was a blast. Statcast™ estimated it traveled 437 feet from home plate with an exit velocity of 108.8 mph -- that was Perez's hardest-hit home run in the Statcast™ era.
All four of Perez's homers this season have been solo shots.
