Salvy gets another day to rest bruised wrist
September 9th, 2016
CHICAGO -- Royals catcher Salvador Perez, who sustained a right wrist contusion after being hit by a pitch on Tuesday, originally was in the starting lineup for Friday night's 7-2 loss to the White Sox. But manager Ned Yost scratched Perez after he took some practice swings and still felt some pain.
"We'll give him another day," Yost said.
Also, rookie left-hander Matt Strahm left the team to attend funeral services for his grandfather. He is expected back on Saturday.
