Seattle Mariners game at New York rained out

Seattle's first rain out in New York City since 2003.

NEW YORK, NY - The Seattle Mariners game at the New York Yankees, scheduled for today, Wednesday, April 30 at 7:05 pm (ET)/4:05 pm (PT), has been cancelled due to inclement weather.

The two teams are scheduled to play their regularly scheduled game tomorrow, Thursday, May 1, at 7:05 pm (ET)/4:05 pm (PT).

This is the first Seattle rainout in New York City since June 7, 2003, when Seattle was rained out while visiting the Mets, and the first rainout at the Yankees since May 18, 1988. It is the sixth overall rainout in New York, five vs. the Yankees and one vs. the Mets.

This is Seattle's second rainout of the season. The Mariners had a game postponed due to poor field conditions on April 4 at Oakland. That game will be made up as the second game of a doubleheader on the final day of this trip, Wednesday, May 7 at Oakland.
