Second Annual Black History Month event set for Monday

Private Luncheon to be held in Gehl Club at Miller Park

MILWAUKEE, WI – The Milwaukee Brewers will pay tribute to Black History month by hosting the 2nd annual private luncheon for selected key influencers in the African American community on Monday, February 27 from noon – 1:30 p.m. in the Gehl Club at Miller Park.

The luncheon, which is an invitation only event, is designed to continue fostering quality relationships with members of the Milwaukee community in a business-social networking environment.  Part of the event program will include a visual presentation that will draw parallels between the improvements of social relations and the success of African Americans in the sport of baseball.

The Brewers will also honor the late Harry Kemp, a freelance photographer who passed away last September, with a photo presentation to pay tribute to his work.  Additionally, there will be a drawing for the chance to win the popular Brewers Family Reunion package for 25 people to the 2012 Negro Leagues Tribute Game on Saturday, July 28 against the Washington Nationals.

Media interested in attending Monday’s event should contact the Brewers Media Relations Department at (414) 902-4500.  For additional questions, please contact Thad McGrew at (414) 902-4371.
