Serviceman Surprises Sister at Coors Field

Out at a Colorado Rockies game to celebrate her high school graduation Monday night, Anna Kulp got a much better present than she ever could have anticipated.

Her older brother, Daniel, a Captain in the U.S. Air Force, hopped out of the stands to surprise her on the Rockies dugout. He was stationed at Kadena Air Force Base in Okinawa, Japan.

Major League Baseball is renowned for its efforts to recognize and celebrate military servicemen and women. Most clubs do something every day at the park to honor those who dedicate their lives to defending our freedom, and some go the extra mile to make it extra special.

Just last week, the Rays surprised a nine-year old girl throwing out the first pitch with the return of her father, who was hiding behind the catcher's mask.

This is another fantastic moment captured at a baseball game. It's heartwarming and encouraging to see clubs actively organizing ways to remind us that there are things much bigger than the game.
