June 16th, 2017

SFG Productions will release a new episode of its Emmy-award-winning documentary series Inside the Clubhouse: A Family Legacy on Sunday, June 18 at 4 p.m. PT on NBC Sports Bay Area.
The show will feature exclusive content from Giants great and seven-time National League MVP Barry Bonds, who currently serves in the Giants' front office as Special Advisor to the CEO. He is joined by his mother Pat, godfather and Hall of Famer Willie Mays and family friend and Hall of Famer Willie McCovey. In addition, fans will have the opportunity to meet one of the Giants' newest families-Mark and Mary Catherine Melancon and their children. The episode, narrated by Giants broadcaster Mike Krukow, exemplifies how the story of Giants baseball is taught and passed down through the generations, playing a significant role in the lives of the players, their families and the fans.
The Inside the Clubhouse: A Family Legacy episode, premiering on Father's Day, highlights why Bonds returned to the Giants' organization, and links new closing pitcher Melancon to legends Mays, McCovey and Bonds, along with loyal fans from San Francisco and New York. The theme of family is what connects those featured in the documentary to the Giants and shows how the legacy of Giants baseball extends far beyond the field.
After its premiere on NBC Sports Bay Area on Sunday, June 18 at 4 p.m. PT, Inside the Clubhouse: A Family Legacy will also be available online at sfgiants.com and on Facebook at facebook.com/giants. The Giants will honor Bonds when it unveils a plaque on the team's Wall of Fame, on  Saturday, July 8, at 3:30 p.m. before the Giants versus Marlins game (7:05 p.m. game time). The Giants Wall of Fame serves as a living tribute to the organization's greatest players. It recognizes retired players whose records stand highest among their teammates on the basis of longevity and achievements.
