• After missing six games while recovering from back spasms, third baseman Chase Headley was back in the Padres' lineup Wednesday. Headley suffered the spasms during a game in Arizona on Aug. 27. Headley went through a full pregame routine before Tuesday's game against the Giants, hitting on the field during batting practice and taking ground balls.
