SoxFest 2013 two-day and Sunday-only passes on sale January 9

CHICAGO – The Chicago White Sox will make two-day and Sunday-only passes to SoxFest 2013 available for purchase only at whitesox.com on Wednesday, January 9 at 10 a.m. Two-day passes (good for admission on both Saturday and Sunday) are $70, while Sunday-only passes are $35.

Two-night hotel reservations at the Palmer House Hilton for SoxFest 2013 remain available along with weekend passes to the event. The special SoxFest hotel rate is $278 (plus applicable taxes and fees) for a two-night stay. Fans who purchase a two-night stay are eligible to purchase up to four SoxFest weekend passes at $75 each.

Weekend passes are only available for purchase by fans who book the two-night stay and Friday night of SoxFest is reserved exclusively for hotel guests. Only fans who purchase a hotel package and weekend pass(es) are eligible to purchase the Premium Upgrade Package (a limited number remaining). The 2013 Premium Upgrade Package includes access to a private autograph session, photo session and seminar; a SoxFest 1983 commemorative t-shirt; and an official Major League baseball suitable for autographs.

More than 25 current and former White Sox team members are scheduled to attend SoxFest 2013. Current team members include: John Danks, Adam Dunn, Tyler Flowers, Gavin Floyd, Paul Konerko, Alexei Ramirez, Addison Reed, Chris Sale, Matt Thornton and Dayan Viciedo. White Sox manager Robin Ventura, along with coaches Harold Baines, Daryl Boston and Bobby Thigpen, also are scheduled to attend.

Joe Crede, Jermaine Dye and Aaron Rowand of the 2005 World Series Championship team, along with former Sox ace and Cy Young winner Jack McDowell and franchise legend Frank Thomas are among the former players scheduled to attend SoxFest.

Tony La Russa, Ron Kittle and Greg Luzinski will be in attendance representing the 1983 team as the White Sox celebrate the 30-year anniversary of the memorable “Winning Ugly” season.

SoxFest 2013 is presented by Miller Lite, Pepsi and Comcast SportsNet and will be held Friday, January 25, Saturday, January 26 and Sunday, January 27, 2013. Event dates and times are: Friday, 4 to 9 p.m.; Saturday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.; and Sunday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
