Baseball Spelling Bee

It's go time in our Nation's Capital. That's right, sports fans, it is once again time for the Scripps National Spelling Bee. Personally, I love this time of year because watching these young men and women plough through words I've never even heard of with ease and grace just makes me smile. It's definitely an event I can get behind.

It even has a bit of drama. These kids want those scholarships bad, man. Real bad. I even remember the poor little guy a few years ago who passed out because he was concentrating so hard. He picked himself up, dusted himself off, and immediately spelled the word correctly. That's passion. That's desire. That's determination.

With the spelling bee in mind, I thought it would be fun to give you a list of the 10 most difficult names (in my opinion) to spell in baseball. Check them out below. How would you do? Following that, check out a little video of me asking some New Yorkers how to spell these names.

Marc Rzepczynski

Jarrod Saltalamacchia

Jeff Samardzija

Micah Hoffpauir

Jason Isringhausen

Kosuke Fukudome

Ubaldo Jimenez (tough to find a license plate for that name, too)

Clay Buchholz (the two h's get you every time!)

Jhoulys Chacin

Ryan Spilborghs

Rizzuto can be tough to spell, too. Well, at least in cursive.

How many would you get right under the same pressure as in the Scripps Spelling Bee? Got any other names? Tweet me @rwags614 with your responses.
