Sprained knee healing quickly for Aramis

PHOENIX -- Brewers third baseman Aramis Ramirez said he thinks he'll play again in five days, as his recovery from a sprained knee appears to be going better than expected.

Ramirez left the Brewers' March 2 game against the Angels with a left knee injury after sliding into second base. He took batting practice and some ground balls directly hit at him before Sunday's game against the San Francisco Giants.

"He's coming along really well," manager Ron Roenicke said. "He's a pretty tough guy, too, so we need to make sure that he's not still sore when we put him back out there in a game."
