Frozen Fenway twin bill start time moved up

Change made to avoid conflicting with Patriots' playoff game

January 10th, 2017

Fenway Sports Management and Hockey East have moved the start time for Saturday's Frozen Fenway college hockey event 2 1/2 hours earlier, in consideration for the Patriots' NFL playoff game against the Texans.
The opener of the hockey doubleheader between the University of Maine and the University of Connecticut was originally scheduled for 4 p.m. ET on Saturday at Fenway Park, but has been moved up to 1:30. That game will be followed by a matchup between the University of New Hampshire and Northeastern University at 5 p.m. The Fenway Park gates will open at noon.

The opener between Maine and Connecticut will air on NESNplus, while the nightcap between New Hampshire and Northeastern will be broadcast on NESN.
