Statement From Giants on the Passing of Former Trainer Barney Nugent

Following is a statement from the San Francisco Giants regarding the passing of the team's
former athletic trainer Barney Nugent. Nugent worked for the Club from 1993 to 2003.

"We were saddened to learn that former Giants athletic trainer Barney Nugent passed away
over the weekend after a long and courageous fight against cancer. He was surrounded by
family and our thoughts and prayers are with his wife, Denise, and all those whose lives he
touched. We will miss him and always remember him as part of our Giants family," said Larry
Baer, Giants president and chief executive officer.
