Here are three interesting items from Game 3 of the American League Championship Series on Monday …
• Six Indians relievers combined for 8 1/3 innings of two-run ball as Cleveland defeated Toronto, 4-2. With the unconventional victory, the Tribe holds a 3-0 lead in the series.

The seven pitchers -- Trevor Bauer started the game and went two-thirds of an inning before a bloody finger stemming from a freak injury forced the Indians to go to the 'pen -- fell one shy of the high mark for usage by a winning team in a regulation postseason game. In Game 1 of the 2014 National League Division Series, St. Louis used eight pitchers in a 10-9 win over Los Angeles. The Cubs also used eight in Game 4 of the 2015 NLDS to defeat the Cardinals, 6-4. The Tribe is the first AL team to use as many as seven in a nine-inning win, with the previous high mark being six. Through the first three games of this ALCS, Cleveland's bullpen (Cody Allen, Jeff Manship, Zach McAllister, Andrew Miller, Dan Otero and Bryan Shaw) has combined for 14 1/3 innings, two runs (1.26 ERA), eight hits, one walk and 21 strikeouts.
• With this victory in Game 3, the Indians ran their 2016 postseason mark to 6-0. They are the fifth team to open a postseason with at least six straight victories (a possibility only in existence since 1969). The other squads are the 2014 Royals (AL Wild Card Game, swept the ALDS and ALCS for eight straight wins), 1976 Reds (swept the NLCS and World Series for seven straight), 2007 Rockies (swept the NLDS and NLCS for seven straight) and 1970 Orioles (swept the ALCS and won the first three in the World Series for six straight).

• In the loss, the top two hitters in the Blue Jays' order -- José Bautista and Josh Donaldson -- each went 1-for-3 with a walk. In 18 postseason games with Toronto, Donaldson owns a .991 OPS, while Bautista has a .949 OPS (also in 18 games). Among all Blue Jays players with at least 10 postseason contests, those marks stand, respectively, as the second and third highest. Paul Molitor (12 games) leads the pack with a 1.378 OPS. Roberto Alomar (.927 in 29 games) is the only other player with a mark of at least .900.
