Summer School Day at the K set for June 12

The Kansas City Royals and FOX 4 WDAF-TV will welcome children to Summer School Day at The K on Wednesday, June 12 prior to the club's 1:10 p.m. contest against the Detroit Tigers. The rescheduled event, originally planned for May 2 but postponed due to inclement weather, includes an on-field weather and science demonstration as well as a science fair.

Gates to Kauffman Stadium will open that morning at 8:30 a.m. FOX 4 Chief Meteorologist Mike Thompson and the FOX 4 Weather Team will host its presentation at 10 a.m. Following the hour-long program, children are invited to visit the Summer School Day at The K science fair in Lot J.  

 A game ticket is required for School Day at The K festivities. Summer School Day at The K tickets are available for as low at $10 for the Hy-Vee Level or $13 for Field Plaza. Fans may call (816) 504-4040, option 4, or visit www.royals.com/schoolday to purchase tickets for this special event.

SUMMER SCHOOL DAY AT THE K TICKET POLICY:

For those fans who purchased tickets for the original School Day at The K scheduled for Thursday, May 2, the Royals are offering the following ticket exchange options.

• If your group purchased School Day at The K tickets from a Royals Group Sales representative and would like to return for the rescheduled program or another mutually agreed upon game as a group, please contact your Royals Group Sales representative.  
• If your group purchased your School Day at The K tickets as part of a group and would like to attend the rescheduled Summer School Day at The K event or another mutually agreed upon game as individual tickets (not part of the original group), please visit the Kauffman Stadium Box Office to exchange your ticket(s).
• If you purchased your School Day at The K tickets online and would like to attend the rescheduled Summer School Day at The K event or another mutually agreed upon game, please visit the Kauffman Stadium Box Office to exchange your tickets(s). Fans may redeem those tickets for any of the remaining 2013 regular season games excluding May 27 and May 28. Replacement tickets will be in a comparable priced seating category based on availability at the time of the exchange.
• If your group is unable to attend the rescheduled Summer School Day at The K on June 12, or any other Sunday through Thursday regular season home game through August 25 (excluding May 27 and 28), you can request a refund on tickets as long as all of the original School Day at The K tickets purchased are returned to your Royals Group Sales representative. You may also mail your ticket(s) to the following address with your name, phone number and your one choice of eligible games:
