Texas Rangers announce 2014 television broadcasting team

Mark McLemore added to broadcasts for select games; Emily Jones to have expanded role

The Texas Rangers today announced the club's 2014 television broadcasting team.

Steve Busby returns for his second full season as play-by-play announcer while Rangers Hall of Famer Tom Grieve, in his 20th season in the booth, will serve as the analyst for the majority of the games on FOX Sports Southwest and TXA21.

Former Rangers infielder Mark McLemore will work as the television analyst with Busby for approximately 25 home and road regular season games in 2014. McLemore has spent the last several seasons as the lead analyst on FSSW and TXA21 pre and post-game coverage and filled in for several games in Busby's absence on the game broadcast in 2013.

"For the past few years, I've considered taking some games off to spend additional time with my family during the summer," said Grieve, who has the longest tenure of any television broadcaster in club history. "This will allow me to do some things that I haven't had the opportunity to previously do. I really appreciate the Rangers and FOX Sports Southwest allowing me to do this."

Grieve and McLemore will also split the spring training television games with that schedule to be announced at a later date.

The Rangers have also hired Emily Jones and she will have an expanded role in the club's television programming. Jones will return in 2014 as the field reporter for the majority of the FSSW's home telecasts and a select number of road broadcasts. In addition, she will serve as host of the weekly Rangers Insider show and all other in-season and off-season Rangers programming on FOX Sports Southwest as well as make appearances on behalf of the club. She is also expected to continue her assignments for MLB Network and mlb.com.

Jones worked full-time for FOX Sports Southwest on a variety of the network's programming from 2004 through October 2013. She previously was a news reporter and sports director at KCBD-TV in Lubbock.

The Rangers radio broadcast team returns in 2014 with Eric Nadel and Matt Hicks calling the action and Mike Peasley handing pre and post-game duties on ESPN Dallas 103.3 FM and the Texas Rangers ESPN Radio Network.
