Texas Rangers grant infielder Brandon Snyder his unconditional release
Surprise, Arizona-The Texas Rangers today announced that infielder Brandon Snyder has requested and received his unconditional release from his minor league contract.
Snyder had been re-signed by Texas to a minor league contract on December 12, 2012 after being non-tendered by the club on November 30. He went to major league spring training camp as a non-roster player and was assigned to the minor league camp on March 19.
Snyder batted .277 with 3 homers and 9 RBI in 40 games with Texas and .253 with 2 homers and 9 RBI in 23 games at Triple-A Round Rock in 2012.
